In the role of a Software Engineer, the candidate writes new programs, maintains and modifies existing applications programs. The candidate is also responsible for trouble shooting and fixing defects and following the Ingram Micro chosen applications development standards and methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS The candidate must be a graduate of any IT related 4 year course and must have at least 2 to 5 years experience in the industry. Experience in COBOL, Oracle, C/C++ and UNIX/Linux is required. Familiarity with MS Visual Studio is a plus. Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required. The candidate must have strong communication and collaboration skills and be team oriented. Shifts are generally fixed with weekends as off-days although members may be asked to report to work at night and/or during weekends and/or holidays should business deliverables require such
The candidate writes new programs, as well as maintains and modifies existing applications programs. He/she must also document and execute test plans according to the requirement.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS The candidate must be knowledgeable in the following technologies:
CobolOracle DDL/PL/SQLC/C++ Must be able to escalate issues or gaps in the design, and must be able to coordinate with other teams as needed. He/she will also coordinate tasks with with onshore/other country counterparts. The candidate must also be able to do bug fixing on the builds he/she performed; he/she must be able to investigate and determine the root cause of the issue, as well as provide fixes to those issues. The candidate must also request re-migrations to QA/Production environments to deploy the fix.
