Department overview:
IHS Markit is seeking experienced testing professionals to join its IHS Markit India operation. This position will involve hands-on test build /execution role in the financial domain. It is a highly technical position and will require strong knowledge of JAVA, SQL, stored procedures and other data manipulation technologies.

Position summary

Must have good knowledge of Java (Collections, String, OOPS concepts and File Handling)
Expertise in API test automation using frameworks such as Rest assured, Rest API
Experience in designing high efficiency tests for scalable, distributed applications
Strong Database knowledge.
Must have worked with Build and CI based tools example: ANT, Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins, etc
Must have Good communication skills
Must have strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Nice to have experience in Test Automation Tool/Frameworks for example: Selenium WebDriver, SoapUI, Cucumber, TestNG, Junit
Should be growth oriented, confident and self-starter

Duties & accountabilities

Work with the QA Manager to meet automation test requirements to the highest standards
Influence and implement Automation test strategies, test frameworks based on user requirements
Assist products with Technical Challenges and define the next level for the present technical solutions
Candidate should be Passionate about building great automation solutions

Business competencies

Education and experience

University graduate or equivalent, preferably in a computing discipline
Fluency in English, spoken and written
Solid technical background in implementing object oriented systems
Knowledge and experience of financial markets (desirable)
Demonstrated ability to work in a globally distributed software development team (desired)
Commercial awareness

Work closely with development and project team members globally to deliver high quality solutions to aggressive time frames.
