Your Role and Responsibilities
Identity sub-domain within CIO organization is looking for a DB2 DBA (LUW) to join our team of expert Identity and Access Management (IAM) engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for performing database administrator tasks for an IAM product having DB2 LUW database.
Overview:
In this position, you will be part of a team of Software Engineers in Identity and Access Management who are engaged in a large-scale effort to design, develop, implement, and support identity services using the Agile methodology. In this role you will provide performance tuning support to development teams for resolving issues with space usage, stored procedures, SQL Tuning and application monitoring. Implement fixpacks and security patches when required. Monitor production databases and DB settings, adjusting for optimal performance and throughput.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
DBA skills for DB2 on LUW
Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
Understanding or hands-on experience with a variety of operating systems
Prior experience in maintaining the DB2 Catalog/Directory (Analysis, Backup, Recover, Reorg, etc).
Hands on knowledge in DB2 Performance Tuning Recovery Tools like File Aid, QMF, SPUFI
Proficient in Platinum tools Log Analyzer Database & Plan Analyzer RC Tools Detector Subsystem Analyzer
Proven knowledge in REXX, CLIST, JCL OMVS, TWS, OPC, Control-M
Exposure in zDB2 for z/OS Data Sharing (including Coupling Facility structure maintenance), DB2 for z/OS RSU maintenance rollouts (Shopz ordering, SMP/E processing etc), zDB2 for z/OS version upgrades – IBM DB2 for z/OS system performance tuning (Bufferpools, ZPARMs etc), DB2 Installation, upgrade and Migration, and PTF Installation with SMP/E.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Knowledge and/or experience with IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM)
Experience with LDAP and/or IBM Security Directory Server
