Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for
You shall design and develop algorithms for Post Silicon Validation of next generation IBM power processors, participate in processor Bringup Activities and own key debugs of architecture and micro-architecture anomalies during the bring up/power on phase.
You will be expected to interface with multiple stakeholders in hardware design teams, lab teams, performance teams and characterization teams.
You must possess excellent communication skills and understand agile processes.
You must have an eagerness and curiosity to learn and be willing to code and participate hands on.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10+ years of related industry experience in post Silicon Validation
Scripting skills (Perl, Shell/Python, Scripting)
Computer Architecture
Operating Systems and Concepts
Proven Programming skills in C/ASM (PPC64 preferred, but x86 also ok).
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Demonstrated technical expertise in hardware development, Embedded software procedures, system Bring-Up & Methodology and, Characterization
Knowledge of modern OS kernel (Linux, AIX) would be a plus
Must be a self-starting team player with excellent communication skills who can work with minimal guidance
Proven communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of engineering disciplines and management.
