Your Role and Responsibilities
As SAP Basis Migration Specialist, you are responsible to do seamless SAP technical migrations with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance.
It is very important to complete the SAP migrations within the downtime approved from customer. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment – development, test, training and production
Maintain the integrity of the SAP environment by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) to ensure all configuration and development objects are promoted properly
Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance
Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
8+ years of SAP Basis / SAP HANA/ Netweaver Experience, demonstrate a proven ability to support Basis on latest versions of SAP ECC, CRM, eWM, SCM, SAP R/3 etc.
SAP Basis skills on Operating Systems Windows, Linux, AIX. Database with HANA, Sybase, DB2 and Oracle database.
Experience on SAP release upgrades
Solution manager experience and expertise in ChaRM, Solution monitoring, Business process monitoring and dashboards
Demonstrate proven ability to create Transport Domain Controller and administer Transport Management System. Must be able to perform independently all standard SAP Basis Administrator duties including installations, upgrades, migrations, patches, system copies, user administration, printer setup, batch job scheduling and other ongoing duties
Experience working with Operating System and Data Base Administrators for optimal SAP application performance.
Should have sound knowledge on administration of HANA database
Should have work experience on performing homogeneous and heterogeneous SAP system copies
Should have knowledge on Database backup / recovery
In-depth knowledge on SAP work-load analysis & performance tuning
Should have learning attitude to learn new tools & processes
Experience on administration of SAP ABAP & Java stack
Ability to solve complicated issues arises from SAP systems
Should have experience on performing Add-on installation and Support-pack upgrades
Good knowledge on DB release upgrades
Technical Expertise
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in SAP Basis
Basic OS’s (RedHat, SuSe, AIX, Windows) knowledge and troubleshooting
Cloud Infrastructure experience such as AWS, Azure & etc…
SAP and its products knowledge
Knowledge of databases – HANA, DB2, Sybase, Oracle & SQL Server
Efficient verbal and written communication skills is must
Basic knowledge on storage & network
