Your Role and Responsibilities
The goal of a DevSecOps Security Engineer is to –
Increase time to market through highly efficient and effective operations of security controls required for attainment of regulations which are mandatory feature in regulated industries.
Identify and mitigate information security risk through continuous control monitoring and automation.
Scale global regulation requirements through proactive definition of security controls and an applicable security management system to establish scope and audit requirements
Work across regulated industries to support IBM Cloud customers in their own compliance journey and be prepared to act on audit requirements.
Responsibilities –
Streamline audit engagements by applying SRE principles to develop strategies and tooling that automate evidence collection and production, anticipating data production requests.
Collect and produce evidence in response to audit requests for supported service(s) utilizing automation and other approaches as required
Develop tools and strategies to assess the health of security controls and adherence to policy, process, and procedures requirements.
Ensure proper documentation and rapid remediation of identified deviations.
Develop test cases to ensure observed deviations do not reoccur.
Serve as primary SME for service control implementation, design, and operating procedures in audit engagements.
Drive risk culture transformation in service teams.
Short Term Expectation –
Collect and provide evidence for ISMAP and C5 audits
Leverage learning from ISMAP and C5 to enhance and execute strategies to automate and anticipate evidence collection
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
7+ Years of IT Experience
Working knowledge of common security frameworks, such as NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP GDPR, SOC 2 etc
Experience with microservices and integrating security into the software development lifecycle
Technical understanding of cloud concepts, able to learn and explain IBM cloud control implementation
Experience with programming/scripting languages and tools in support of automation (Bash, Python, Golang, Ansible, Chef, Salt Stack, etc…)
Experience with Rest API development using one of the of framework (Flask/Django/Gin etc.)
An understanding of networking fundamentals, the OSI model, and TCP/IP protocols.
Experience with CI/CD, Docker, managing git repositories and code versioning tools (Github, BitBucket, etc.)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
