IBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. Your Role and Responsibilities
The ideal candidates will have professional experience in communications and networking technologies along with expertise on hardware and/or software development. Familiarity with 3GPP 4G and 5G and LTE standards, technologies and products is desirable.
As 5G/4G RAN Architect, you will be part of the team that will design, develop and diagnose digital, RF hardware, FPGA, Antenna subsystems, 3GPP protocols, as well as embedded software. You will also participate in end to end integration of 4G/5G NR communication systems. You will work closely with hardware, software and system engineers with broad experience in communication systems development.
As a RAN Architect, you will be responsible for the design of one or more applications or services within an organisation, and is typically part of a solution development team. You must have a balanced mix of technical and business skills, and will often work with an E2E architect for strategic direction.
Preparing HLD and LLD for site commissioning and integration
Interact with Service provider teams (circle and central) to get details on the network connectivity
Lead the project implementation team e2E owner of the vRAN/ORAN Solution and deployment life cycle
Understand security requirements and guide team to perform hardening and testing
Team player capable to support Integration teams in troubleshooting during deployment and Migration Phases of Project on product, performance and solution level.
Scope, define and design solution offerings; driving end-to-end technical solutions
Analyze customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis
Ensure 1st time Right Methods and prepare Root Cause Analysis for outages.
Deliver Project Milestones as per agreed timelines secure customer acceptance.
Travel and work in Customer Project Locations and work across cross-domain teams.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Overall 10 – 12+ years of experience in the Telecom sector with a degree in Computer Science, IT or Networking
Excellent 3GPP, Open RAN, Virtual RAN competence with ability to independently work in areas of E2E QoS, Packet Transport Network Dimensioning, Optimization, Integration and Service Migrations.
Ability to learn and work in cutting edge areas like 4G/5G RAN Architecture, Cloud Maturity understanding etc.
Expertise in System design and architecture definition capabilities
Expertise in 5G RAN technology (MAC/PDCP)
Excellent understanding and insight in 3GPP 4G and 4G specifications (RAN and Core Network)
Indepth experience in Wireless LTE RAN product development
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Extensive experience in deploying and supporting wireless solutions with operators
Hands-on experience and expertise in estimating medium or large size projects
Knowledge and hands-on experience in performance optimization techniques and tools
Knowledge of architectural and design patterns
Responsible for architecture of end to end deployable 4G/5G RAN solutions
Develops detailed product requirements based on prior product experience and customer inputs
