Human Resources
Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. We are currently looking for an experienced professional to join the Employee Relations Team.
Job Introduction
To plan, manage and execute INM’s Employee & Industrial Relations’ strategy and policies, to support change & transformation while maintaining a harmonious working environment within the organization. To ensure that decisions taken in this regard are compliant with local legislations, and the Group’s guidelines that apply.
Principal Responsibilities
Provide strategic advisory to business on labour & employment aspects in key transformation / change initiatives
Support the larger HR Team / Business Managers with queries pertaining to labour & employment laws and anchoring the governance responsibility for HR/ER owned policies/guidelines/processes
Support the design & implementation of HR / ER policies in compliance with local labour laws, regulations, new labor codes and Group guidelines.
Implement and act as a custodian of the important internal policies such as the Global Consequence Management Framework, The INM Disciplinary Policy, Policy on Prohibition / Prevention & Redressal of Sexual Harassment, Grievance Redressal, Code of Conduct etc.
Act as an advisor to subsidiary companies across India including HR & business
Manage Trade Union relations & strategy including the internal Federation & external trade unions
Effectively engage and manage relationships with legal counsels; work on litigation strategy with respect to employment disputes ; ownership & accountability for outcomes
Work closely with the Head of ER on union negotiations
Represent HSBC before all the Govt. authorities, Courts & Tribunals in inquiries, inspections and litigations.
Engage with the local Union leadership, and with Award Staff in the areas
Manage IR situations on the ground in the event of a conflict with internal or external Unions.
Oversee contract staff / outsourcing engagement by business, ensuring compliance with applicable legislations and internal guidelines.
Qualifications
A Post-Graduate degree in Human Resources
5-7 years of experience in Employee Relations in HR
High business acumen and ability to understand changing business trends
Knowledge of labour & employment legislations & application to the business context
A clear and concise communication style, both in presentation skills and written English.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
