Principal Responsibilities

The incumbent will be operating as a team member in the CRE & Admin function for HSBC AMC Business. This function is expected to own and administer the following activities:

• Monitor the management of the real estate portfolio, Health and Safety, Sustainabilty, Finance (AOP, billing, etc) and the delivery and implementation of facilities and CAPEX management services to the portfolio as a whole.
• To effectively manage all outsourced supply partners / vendors in line with CS and Group Policy.
• To actively contribute to the sustainability agenda through the delivery of current building design standards and other initiatives.
• Manage CS operational risk and controls ensuring that CRE and our suppliers complies with local regulatory requirement and company’s policies and processes and the Operational Risk Management Framework
• Ensure that all operational risks associated with HSBC AMC real estate are maintained at a level acceptable to Group risk functions
• Review and recommend action on all escalated underperformance or and address any negative findings on the vendor
• Develop and/or implement metrics and KPIs in relation to planning, finance and quality and identify and implement best practice where possible
• Oversee HSBC’s vendor management requirements, including sampling, checking, and reporting anti-bribery procedures and employee vetting
• Ensure compliance with all country legislation in relation to HSBC AMC estate management.
• Ensuring that all capital projects are properly managed in-line with agreed processes to minimise risk

CRE is responsible for management of all aspects of the HSBC AMC property portfolio. This remit includes the day to day operation and servicing of these properties, acquiring, and disposing of property, the management of the costs associated with the portfolio, Health and Safety and Sustainability matters as well as management of capital projects.

The jobholder needs to combine professional and technical skills with high level of communication and influencing skills, in order to manage and motivate both internal and external multi-disciplinary teams delivering against an aggressive agenda and challenging timescales. He/she has to constantly manage changing priorities and wide ranging and complex requirements. Proactive identification of issues and initiation of structured discussions with key stakeholders. Engendering a true sense of urgency, pace, community and collaboration across customers, CRE and suppliers focused on meeting critical milestones.

Education Qualifications / Certifications and Requirements:

• Professional qualification an advantage
• CS training an advantage
• Real Estate professional with experience gained from RE Transactions, Workplace, Facility and Project Management, Finance Management ideally within a large corporate environment.
• Strong level of business awareness, financial/budget management expertise, team management and engagement skills within a corporate structure or similar.
• Ability to provide real estate solutions within a corporate environment.
• Proven ability to manage a large range of stakeholders, senior management and external consultants/contractors to drive performance.
• Proven ability and commitment to high standards of customer service and customer relationship management.
• Highly adaptable and be able to work in a dynamic working environment with a strong drive and be able to work under pressure
• Ability to manage professional multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to operate in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously across HSBC

Qualification

Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher
