Job Profile: Project Coordinator
Distributed Compute provides the solutions and services that enable the Enterprise Server Systems to operate on a daily basis for all Business Lines within HSBC. Distributed Compute consists of Engineering, Production Support, Estate Management, ‘Security Risk and Compliance’ and Build and Deploy functions. Distributed Compute acts as the face of Unix/Linux/Windows platforms within IT Infrastructure Delivery to HSBC internal customers.
Estate Management supports around 60K Unix servers globally. We ensure that the estate is safe and is running on the latest operating system. This role is for supporting pre-patching activities like coordination, planning and managing the entire lifecycle of Unix OS upgrade.
Estate Management also owns software/agent deployments across the Unix and Windows estate. The application is also expected to manage and run these agent deployment projects start to end.
You will be a part of a highly-skilled, self-organizing team, building forward-thinking solutions and creating new capabilities to support multiple, cross-functional teams. We are continuously looking to further improve our technology stack, data quality and reliability, and your vision and ambition will contribute to shaping our solutions toward data-driven decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the Change Management guidelines as defined in ITIL framework from start to end for implementation of changes.
Implement projects from start to end including planning, coordination, resource allocation, communication and stakeholder management.
To support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working
Establish and maintain effective high-level relationship with customer business areas and identify areas of service improvements.
Learn from mistakes and take correction actions by documenting the learnings and sharing best practice with the team.
Customers / Stakeholders:
Promotes and prioritizes decisions or actions according to customer needs, encouraging others to do the same
Strengthen stakeholder relationships. Uses relationship management skills/tools to responsibly influence decisions and stakeholder advocacy
Understand the current needs of all key stakeholders and be able to anticipate future needs in order to manage stakeholder expectations.
Effectively engages customers, colleagues and stakeholders to build a trust-based relationship.
Qualifications
Competencies:
5+ years of experience
Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL framework with strong focus on Change Management
Excellent presentation and MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Reporting and data visualization.
Enthusiasm for providing great customer service.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
