We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of “ Robotics & Cognitive Automation (R&CA) – Technical Lead ”
The role aligns to the Digital and Data function. Its purpose is to provide technical leadership and strategic support to the team in streamlining and Intelligent Automation programme in the delivery of process efficiencies for the business. This will be achieved through the exploration, adoption and application traditional automation solutions, RPA and AI tools/capabilities to bring team in investing heavily in the build out of our Digital capability, focusing on innovation and the build out of new capabilities around automation, and aligning these closely to business needs and demands. To continually push, explore and incorporate new technologies in delivering for the business (including but not limited to Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and image recognition (OCR))
Principal responsibilities –
Drive the AI led automation journey by leveraging combination of latest and traditional technologies.
Ability to provide strategic direction in the pursuit of new technologies, whilst having ability to prove these new technologies through POC’s and work closely with development teams to implement MVP’s.
An important element is for the candidate to be an Agile practitioner with a proven ability in the use of Agile practices and principals to successfully deliver change. They should be comfortable conveying Agile principals to less experienced colleagues, leading by example, and building a strong Agile culture.
Performing complex analysis to understand and translate business requirements into new future state processes, in support of business operational development and benefits realisation
Product & platform mind-set to think of enterprise grade solution and mentor technical teams globally in adoption of tech strategies.
Define R&CA strategy and establish initial R&CA capability through a series of agile, iterative adoption cycles that delver tangible benefits to the business (for example, POC or MVP’s)
Build out cognitive technical capabilities.
Provide architecture support for Automation initiatives
Expand R&CA into an organizational strategy, and establishment of Automation as a service.
Foster close collaboration between business and IT, enabling the business to realise their strategies & objectives.
Providing technical governance across to the team Streamlining and Automation design authority.
Qualifications
Primary:
Technical experience (15 years +)
Operational transformation experience (4 years +)
A minimum of 12 years’ experience contributing to Robotics delivery program working with a R&CA technology/technologies such as Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere or WorkFusion, Datacap
Working experience with Process mining, Task mining tools
Working exposure to AI/ML tech stack in driving Operation Automation.
Excellent and proven understanding of workflow based logic and ability to work with the business to understand business processes, identify efficiency opportunities, conceptualise and implement as an automated solution.
Secondary:
Experience developing and implementing automated Blue Prism processes
Connected with technology trends and have view point on new technologies, products.
Ability to evaluate processes and logically determine best technical solution, be it RPA or otherwise.
A demonstrable knowledge of computing concepts and application of development lifecycle methodologies
Wide and deep knowledge of IT hardware, software operations and networks beneficial
Track record of delivering projects within matrix management structure.
Proven experience in analyzing, mapping and reengineering business processes
Excellent workshop facilitation experience
Fundamental understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning
Knowledge of (or similar automation technologies)
Knowledge of AI driven automation initiatives to improve operation efficiency and build out STP processes. Excellent experience in the application of Agile practices and principles to deliver business value.
Demonstrable experience of building frameworks that allow rapid, repeatable and scalable delivery of change.
Ability to understand and interpret complex business and IT requirements and prioritize competing demands
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, BPR techniques and methodologies. Preferred but not essential
Exposure and experience delivering through all stages of the application development process, from specification & design, development & testing, through to production readiness and release.
