Wholesale Technology Digital is a major Service Line reporting into Wholesale Technology, but servicing the Commercial Bank. Digital (sometimes called Wholesale Technology IT) is the electronic front door for HSBC’s commercial customers, and the Digital team is responsible for developing, building, and improving on the digital banking platforms that our customers use. Large commercial and global banking customers use HSBCnet and Connect to transact, while small to medium-sized commercial customers use Digital Banking platforms (DBB) and emerging solutions such as Kinetic and Quantum.,
Wholesale Technology provides technology solutions to support HSBC’s four global businesses: Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets, Global Private Banking, and Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Wholesale Technology is part of Digital Business Services (previously called HOST). Wholesale Technology Digital faces off to Commercial Banking.
Commercial Banking (CMB) is at the h-eart of growth at HSBC, generating more than US$20 billion each year, and turning over more than US$1 million of trade every minute. As one of the largest commercial banks in the world, HSBC supports millions of businesses in around 55 countries and territories – from small enterprises to large multinationals – to thrive and grow.
Commercial Banking is made up of Global Trade and Receivables Finance, Global Liquidity and Cash Management, Global Capital Finance, Insurance and Investment, Client coverage, and ISB.
HSBC Connect is a fully automated host-to-host solution allowing customers to seamlessly integrate their own systems into HSBCnet, where they can use a single point of entry to have access to a number of HSBC services globally. It is primarily used for payments and statements integration but also supports other functions such as Supply Chain and Trade. HSBC Connect was originally built in 2001 to serve as a gateway between a small number of domestic customers and HSBC processes, including Nationwide Building Society.
The Opportunity: (Brief Overview of the Role)
The role is within the HSBC Commercial banking digital programme, for consultant specialist who will work in a team of engineers to deliver the transformation of key bank application for banks top tier customers.
The individual must be technically adept and have ability to understand requirements, designs, code., and provide solutions to requirements
What you’ll do: (List out Key Responsibilities)
At a team level, playing a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools and coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team
Participate and give suggestions on clear choice adhering to Group Standards and Guidelines. Understand the requirement and Identifying gaps if any.
Participate in estimation using the guidelines
Developing / Reviewing Code
Assist in setting up the right environment for the projects.
Assist/Develop base classes/components for the projects
Work with Solution architect to understand the design and project plans
Suggest best practices to ensure that there is a maintainable code base and deployment structures using GITHUB & Jenkins
Work on test automation of Seeburger developments
Work in PODDevOps environment
What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)
Either Seeburger Business Integration Server/Sterling Integrator/GIS/Axway integrator
Knowledge of enterprise integration
Relational Database (Oracle)
Industry standards for EDI such as SWIFT formats, XML, ANSI ,EDIFACT etc
Java
Should have worked in DevOps team and well versed with Agile Framework.
Maven/Jenkins integration
Git or similar version control tool
Agile –Scrum frame work
What additional skills will be good to have? (List out good to have skills and certifications)
Unix/Linux
Spring Boot
Experience in IBM WTX or WMB would be added advantage
Automation tools e.g. TOSCA, Selenium
