Job Description
Partners with supply chain teams located worldwide in the support of field replacement parts manufacturing processes during product launch, sustaining and service life product lifecycle phases.
Product Engineers will interface remotely with other product engineers, product lifecycle managers, program managers and management teams located in various locations around the world.
Responsibilities:
Life Time Buy Process Management (Dashboard maintenance, Meeting facilitation, Template management)
Proactive EOL Process Management
Work with and provide support to new product introduction engineers during product launch activities
Review and approve/reject First Article Inspection(FAI) requests from suppliers
Review and Approve Material Scrap Requests
Containment / Corrective Action related to poor quality products detected in our warehouses – Purge Process
Analyze and interpret product quality performance data and create standardized metrics reports
Review and approve/reject component substitution requests with help from product experts
Perform first and second level product issue triage from the field
Author engineering change notices with guidance from senior product engineers
Review and Approve/Reject Engineering Change Notices with help from expert product engineers
Perform product Bill of Material(BOM) change management and tracking
Perform Product firmware change management and tracking
Approve/reject field product capture requests
Asset Location Management (Test Equipment)
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Typically 5-7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with supply chain manufacturing processes, electronic components manufacturing.
Basic familiarity with engineering terminology and tools
Experience with office productivity software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, etc.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Evaluating forms, data spreadsheets and charts, product specifications.
Empirical analysis of product quality data such as failure rates, Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) rates, No-Fault-Found (NFF) rates, etc.
Empirical analysis of process efficiency data such as Repair Yields
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English required.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form.
Ability to work remotely and virtually across multiple time zones on a regular basis
