Product Team:
For one of Business Tech newest product teams, Airlift within Product Checkout, we are looking for one new team member. For our leap team we are looking for a senior back-end lead engineer that supports and technically drives our development efforts of our checkout eco system for physical store. What we envision is an all-round engineer with exceptional skills on engineering C#/.NET applications on the Azure cloud, including code architecture, best practice coding and reviewing skills.

Job Description
You will work in a newly build team close with other teams to create the future of retail checkout! You will be part of building the future for this product and team with the responsibility for creating and designing solutions that fulfil our customers’ shopping experience. Furthermore, you will:
Work with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
Translate product strategy and requirement into suitable, maintainable, and scalable solution design
Collaborate closely with product owner, team members and other cross-functional teams, share best practice as well as discuss and motivate design solutions
Driving the development of sales engine/orchestration layer
Defining the suitable architecture, both high level and code base
Designing/architecting, writing, testing and reviewing code, mainly C#
Designing APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger, and implementing them on back-end and client-side
Data modelling of API request/response as well as DB models
As a team we are building new services that we own and run. We are fully responsible for the whole development cycle, design, build, test, deploy, evaluate, and repeat. The mindset “You build it – you run it “are key for us. We are measured on business outcome, not code merge or defects.
We are looking for you who are a true team player, have an open mindset and have a large willingness to contribute and can think outside the box. Other important personal skills needed in this role is to keep it simple, to be humble and open to new ideas and like to contribute in discussions in the forefront of disrupt checkout!
Qualifications
We also believe that you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field with atleast 7-11 years of work experience in a highly competitive environment working on cutting edge solutions
Highly skilled in C#/.NET, have experience of DB-design (document & relational)
Have experience of REST API’s, have experience of API’s & API-security
Have experience of Architectural knowledge
Have experience of Queues and events
Have experience of Azure dev-ops and release pipelines
Have experience of Containerization, mainly docker & Kubernetes
Have experience of with physical checkout and POS
Have experience of digital checkout
General IT knowledge and a deep interest in tech, curious
Support entire application cycle (Concept Design Test Release Support)
Are experienced in tools as JIRA and Confluence
Have a – “you build it you run it” mindset – with hands-on experience of DevOps or equivalent for source code control (preferable Azure)
Have a strong track record of deliveries and an agile/iterative mindset
Have strong developer skills coupled with an understanding of business language
Have an open minded and thrives in agile teams
Have good knowledge, both written and oral, in English
