Role and Responsibilities
Collaborate with software product development, architecture, and IT teams to ensure releases are delivered with repeatable and auditable processes.
Architect and design the setup and configuration of CICD pipelines and support/resolve technical complexities to integrate various DevOps practices as part of CICD implementation.
Contribute to the DevOps platform architecture and influence the DevOps roadmap: application and infrastructure planning; testing and development.
Work closely with product teams to find the right trade-off between business-specific needs and state-of-the-art CI/CD best practices.
Execute and automate operational processes quickly, accurately, and securely. Provide solutions to increase visualization, reduce errors, and improve customer experience.
Support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restoration of different environments.
Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve the speed, efficiency, and scalability of continuous integration environments.
Design and architect solutions for existing client-facing applications as they are moved into cloud environments.
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments.
Guide the evolution of our cloud infrastructure.
Be the point of escalation for troubleshooting and remediating Azure cloud issues.
Improve the availability, scalability, and performance of the cloud environments.
Recommend and implement automated means to improve the performance and reliability of the system.
Skills and Experience
5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud, and Containerization.
2-3 years of experience in administering Kubernetes and a good understanding of manifest management with Helm.
4-5 years of experience as Linux systems administrator or equivalent skills.
Mandatory 4-5 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools like Jenkins/ Bamboo/TeamCity.
4-5 years of experience with configuration management tools, such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet. Strong preference for Ansible.
3-4 years of experience in AWS and its services.
Expertise in deploying at scale various containerized web, data applications, and services using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Elastic Container Service (ECS), Fargate, Lambda, CloudWatch, and other monitoring solutions.
Strong experience in different AWS services like EC2, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Lambda, CloudWatch, Relational Database Service (RDS), S3, etc.
Good knowledge of automating multiple systems using Bash, and languages such as Python, and Go.
Extensive experience in infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
Ability to architect and implement end-to-end container management using Kubernetes.
Strong communication skills across the board, with a passion for finding and sharing best practices and driving greater discipline.
