The Anti-Abuse Engineering team is responsible for building services and applications to provide safety, security and bring trust in all of the high throughput systems, and services of Grab and its partners.
It is responsible for combating sophisticated and intelligent fraud in real-time, the team comprises highly motivated and skillful engineers who come together from different domains of technology.
We take pride in building distributed systems that have a real impact on the lives of millions of users in our endeavor to out-serve the underserved population. Terms such as Idempotency, CAP theorem, Distributed Consensus are not just theoretical terms for us but have a real bearing on the systems we build.
Get to know the Role:
Design and implement the architecture of the next generation of automated infrastructure the following Infrastructure as a Code model.
Identify and resolve problems relating to critical service operations and prevent their recurrence using different methods of automation
Be the specialist on at least one cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, etc.
Facilitate monitoring and keeping services healthy and responsible for uptime.
The day-to-day activities:
Review and deployment of infrastructure requests.
Keeping a check on the health of services and infrastructure.
Is able to participate in application/service architectural review and provide feedback and make suggestions on reliability and infrastructure needs.
Identify the process that is manual and improve the process through automation.
Ensure security best practice is followed at every level and provide solutions to improve existing processes.
Be involved in the design and subsequent implementation of software and service infrastructure
Mentor other engineers, define our technical culture and help build a fast-growing team
The must-haves:
6+ years of experience in designing and running large-scale infrastructure.
Strong understanding of Linux and Network security in depth.
Strong foundation and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, authentication and security protocols, and applied cryptography.
Strong skills in at least one or more scripting languages; Perl, Python, Go, or Shell- Passionate about the cloud, enjoy challenges and maintain up-to-date knowledge of available and emerging technologies.
Strong skills in at least one or more automation tools; Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Helm
Strong knowledge in Kubernetes, Openshift, or other cluster management software
Strong understanding of containerization, DevOps, and CI/CD process and technologies
Able to work, setup, and maintain logging and monitoring tools such as statsd, ELK stack, Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent.
Experience dealing with highly scalable and high availability environments (4 nines)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organization.
Nice to Have:
Experience in running code development and deployment along with VCS.

Experience in Database operations and automation
