Job Overview:
The role is primarily responsible for the development of supply planning related capabilities to regional and/or global planning organization. It involves bringing step-change innovation and improvements in supply planning processes and capabilities by developing advanced optimization, simulation, and statistical tools to provide visibility and insights for organization

Developing Solutions/Tools:
Work with regional planning teams, COEs and Hub teams to identify gaps in the existing process, capabilities, systems, and align on the opportunities to develop, automate or enhance the solutions.Support development of Project charter- Business context, Scope, Outcome & success criteriaDevelop different modeling approaches/techniques to solve the business problem at hand recommend the best approachBuild new tool/capability or scale existing capability of one region to anotherProvides analytics support during implementation and transition phase.

Data Management & Analysis:
Understanding different data sources, pulling data sets, leveraging accordingly for project purposePerforming data wrangling & analysisRun & analyze what-if scenarios by leveraging advance optimization & simulation tools and provide insights to business team.Proactively analyze current set of the supply chain based upon facts and root cause analysis

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed:
Experience in dealing with large data sets and tools like MS Excel, MS Power point, MS Access, Visio
Knowledge of optimization models, linear and multi linear programming models, advanced operations research, basic statistical tools like regression, Anova, logistic regression etc.
Hands on experience in R/Python and visualization software like Spotfire, Tableau will be added advantage
Demonstrated analytical skills in model building using any analytics software
Strong analytical and business acumen skills
Demonstrated skills in core Supply chain & functions understanding

Additional Information:
This position reports to the Supply Capabilities group with the Supply Chain Analytics Division at GBS India. Hours of operation are 1.30 PM to 10.30 PM Mumbai time (Monday to Friday) with the ability to flex hours as the job demand
