Software Architect – DevOps is a critical & highly visible role in the Global Imaging DevOps team in GE Healthcare. In this role, you will Develop a common scalable architecture, as a common framework across imaging Software Org. Actively contribute in define, refine & implementing the tools & frameworks needed across various pipelines working with Architecture office, tools team, infrastructure team & modality software architects. Be the role model for the rest of the team in terms of quality of deliverables, setting up right governance/review process, introducing right tools & actively contribute to upskilling of the organization

Job Description
In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain common architecture & framework working with Principal Engineer(s), architects, technical subject matter specialists across software teams in Imaging & Digital organizations.Demonstrate authority in developing and executing automated builds and scripts.Lead the framework/platform development and ensure it seemless integration with modality pipelines.Provide technical and process expertise for DevOps pipeline throughout activity life cycle.Design architecture elements to various pipeline needs as they emergeSupport technical discussions and issue resolution, partnering with/provides direction to fellow team members in being able to efficiently diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.Assist the product owner/manager, in design and development of the robust DevOps roadmap and implementation based on a current vs. future state with Imaging SW modalities in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.Constantly work on understanding pipeline status and analyze data across Modalities and develop architectural requirements at central level.Constantly Self learn new build and releases techniques and methodologies and trains the team in the same.Own the governance model to ensure team develops quality code/scripts across the board consistently, explore automation/tools where needed to bring in rigor.Support the Dev team, as they evolve their service-oriented architecture, from DevOps standpoint in developing/deploying reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different deployments for different Imaging modalities.Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
Qualifications and experience
A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in software development, systems; DevOps/Build & release architecture and design
A minimum of 5+ years of developing complex development & deployment architecture onto cloud/edge/network/infrastructure/application experience.
Strong Linux-based systems skills with practical experience operating in a cloud and/or virtualized environment.
Continuous Integration and Deployment experience using a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
Desirable skills
Working experience in building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructures.
Working experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems
Strong software development background with hands on programming (Java) & scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby and/or Perl).
Proficiency with log analysis using tools such as log parser and/or log stash.
Experience operating in a highly secure environment that conforms to various regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and an ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Contributes in driving initiatives such as defining standards and processes to ensure quality
An authority in developing code for other developers to learn from and support
