Job Overview
The Engineer-Remote Monitoring will provide continuous monitoring for the fleet and responsible for quick return to service, also technical support and resolution to the field engineers via phone, email or via established e-tools. This individual will analyze the failure and availability statistics of the region fleet WTG’s and work in close cooperation with the other functional technical teams to improve the turbine performance and operations
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self, and have ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals by working on assigned rotation shifts.
In addition, you will
Manage the shift technically by monitoring the performance of the fleet across Region. There will situations where the WTG reset will have to be executed working with Global teams.
Support with required data from statistics to the Functional Technical Support and the Product Service Engineering / FPE/ Engineering/ Top Issues during ACE/RCA programs
Document and communicate the technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide timely communications/escalate with the respective stake holders on significant issues or developments observed during day to day monitoring
To enable 24×7-365 days operation of ROC, Flexible to work on shifts in rotations, weekends & holidays
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information technology, Energy technology or Computer Science from an accredited college or university in regular stream of 4-year education.
Minimum of 2 years plus of professional technical experience in managing WTG fleet is must, previous remote monitoring, and diagnostics experience with in wind farm management would be added advantage.
High Flexible to work on compulsory shifts in rotations, weekends & holidays
Desired Characteristics
Strong quality awareness and ability to predict future failures, defects and problems based on based on digital data analytics.
Previous experience with wind turbine software and firmware packages including: Wind SCADA, VisuPro, ControlST (ToolboxST, WorkstationST), Bachmann PLC software and tools, Mark Vie control systems
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and VBA to assist in development of in house automation tools.
Knowledge of general network communications / IT systems (LAN’s, WAN’s, etc.) and troubleshooting tools
Self driven and ability to demonstrate leadership skills
Ability to make decisions and to adopt responsibility
Ability to work with multicultural teams, strong team player
Flexible to travel and work arrangements
