Full Job Description
Perform and support planning and execution of full vehicle and subsystems safety modeling for programs as per standard process time and customer requirements.
Collaborate with safety and integration teams and develop statement of work (SOW) for each modelling task.
Interact, engage, effectively communicate and co-ordinate with integration/management design & release engineers, suppliers, safety program teams to develop and refine plans for model builds while continuously assessing requirements, managing changes and mitigating risk.
Lead and leverage vendor-based resources for model builds.
Perform risk assessment, monitor progress and enable first time right (FTR) and on-time delivery (OTD) of all safety models.
Actively participate and contribute to department process, speed and quality improvement endeavors and meetings.
Perform robust root cause analysis, preventive and corrective action summary on quality improvement opportunities in full vehicle safety models.
Identify & lead efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities for all kinds of models builds.
Actively apply process integration principles on day to day activities and propose improvements.
Perform full vehicle assembly, integration, quality checks and debug run on models.
Stay informed about new modelling technology and techniques and apply on the projects being executed.
Provide technical capability and perform CAE safety modelling projects in alignment with enterprise goals.
