Role
Leads the procurement activities in assigned region/location as well as deploys specific category strategies.
Your responsibilities
Purchasing based on specifications and according to predefined procedures and processes to ensure delivery capability.
Purchases products/items of expertise area at the right quality, characteristics, and volume.
Participates in the selection of suppliers by analysis, evaluation, and handles operational relations and interfaces with selected suppliers.
Establish strong relationships with key suppliers, improve the overall supplier relationship management.
Developing high-level sourcing strategy which identifies the best products and services available.
Leading supplier performance recovery & improvement activities.
Managing the whole contract negotiations with the suppliers and coordinating the supplier, Legal department and related technical units to complete purchasing process.
Performing the control of payments to suppliers at the right time and working coordinately with the Finance and Accounting Department.
Following up the logistics to maintain the delivery of the goods on time and ensuring the arrival of the orders to the factory properly.
Expedites Purchase Orders to ensure on time delivery, this includes physical visits to suppliers to check on progress.
Collaborate closely with other departments locally and globally.
What you bring
Solid commercial and financial understanding.
Understanding of technical specification & drawings in purchase orders.
Planning and Organizing
Coping with Pressure and Setbacks
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge on mechanical bought out like Hydraulic, drives, Bearings etc added advantage.
Expert in MSOffice including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Experience
8+ years of experience in the field of procurement. Minimum of five years of experience in a technical purchasing role and expediting.
