Department
In our Mining ‘Upgrades’ group, we intend to bring sustainable technologies and services to existing equipment installations to extend operating life and improve performance, productivity, and/or efficiency.
Role
As a Global Audits and Studies Engineer for Upgrades & Rebuilds, you will contribute to the global Upgrades and Rebuilds business related to all aspects of product management, including product ownership, sales support to regions, ensuring profitability and customer support.
The successful incumbent would have the opportunity to be part of a global team and join a growing business with ambitious plans for the next 5 years. This role would be based in Salt Lake City, Chennai, Santiago, or an alternative location could be discussed at the appointment time.
Your responsibilities
Establish standards, templates, training material and guidelines for all audit and studies offerings.
Create and maintain a single storage system of Procedures and Guidelines for the different studies and audits. Develop a system to track audited assets for each client, utilizing existing tools, in every region.
Identify and control metrics for the different studies, audits, pilots, aligned with the expectations of internal and external customers.
Analyze the results and their trends for the different audits and studies to be carried out.
Work with the Region sales, RPLM, and Professional service organizations, analyze the Installed base data and plan, Business strategies, and plans for identifying the opportunities and execution capabilities.
Assist in developing product tests and trials, analyzing and validating results and concluding findings.
Plan, coordinate and eventually execute activities related to inspection, verification and evaluation of processes and products.
Assist in preparing Audits proposals, define scope of work, including commercial content of proposals and review of contracts/PO’s Support timely resolution of technical questions and site queries.
What you bring
Product knowledge of FLS offering such as Separation/Thickening, Milling/Grind Products etc.
Ability to interpret test s, and from there, develop plans for opportunity creation.
Knowledge in elaborating inspection guidelines, mainly of mechanical specialty.
Knowledge of International Codes & Standards
Knowledge and/or skills in process standardization.
Ability to coordinate and collaborate with Global and domestic teams.
Business drivers with a practical approach will be important.
Willingness to complete tasks on time without compromising on processes.
Ability to read the engineering drawings, including Bill of materials/ parts lists.
Ability to work remotely when required.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering degree from a reputed university. Mechanical/Production Specialization will be an added advantage.
Experience
4 to 8 years of experience in Minerals industries, preferably in Separation/Thickening, Milling/Grind Products.
