Job responsibility:
1. Shall develop Piping General arrangement drawings, Piping Isometrics and Pipe Support detail drawings in AutoCAD 2D.
2. Shall develop Pipe routing and Support 3D modelling.
3. Shall analyse the technical inputs for adequacy and check the output design documents so that the design work is carried out as per good engineering practices and contractual needs.
4. Shall check and review the piping deliverables like piping layouts, support mapping / support detail drawings, line list, valve List, critical line list for stress analysis from the P&ID’s, Piping Material Specification (PMS) and Valve material Specification (VMS).
5. Should coordinate with internal team and external piping vendors to ensure that all interfaces are taken care of.
6. Should co-ordinate with external piping third party engineering vendors and ensure timeliness and quality of documents with zero errors.
7. Review and Checking of 3D models (CADWorx/SP3D/PDMS/) with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Participates in internal design review meetings and offer innovative solutions related to piping.
9. Shall prepare the Piping and Support M.T.O documents for procurement.
10. Shall visit site for collecting the inputs required during engineering phase and prepare as-built documentation after execution.
11. Shall register lessons learned points based on the feedback received during engineering phase / from fabricators / from site and develop a robust checking process.
Required Skill set:
1. Should have experience in preparation, review and checking of piping layout for large mining projects interlinking process systems such as pyro-processing, wet milling systems, separation processes viz. classification, floatation, sedimentation and filtration.
2. Should have experience in slurry piping.
3. Ability to conceptualise and prepare optimum piping layout.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with good time management skills.
5. Knowledge about Piping codes, National and international standards like IS, EN, ASME, API, ANSI
6. AutoCAD & CADWorx (mandatory); experiance on other 3D tools like Smart Plant 3D, PDMS will be an added advantage.
