Role Summary:
The role of Area Distribution Manager will manage and focus on improving Flowserve’s industrial distribution sales coverage and performance for the pumps and seals platform in Thailand and the Indochina region (Laos, Cambodia, & Myanmar). The intended results will be accelerated bookings, income and improved margins.

This position will work closely with direct sales, distribution business development, product management, marketing and operations to define areas of bookings growth opportunities for pumps and seals platform products through third-party channels. The incumbent, working with the appropriate disciplines and guided by the Distribution Playbook, will prioritize a rolling action list of programs, product opportunities, market opportunities, and initiatives and manage through execution and implementation to drive success.

Responsibilities & Requirements: Job Responsibility:
Promote Flowserve products, programs policies and tools throughout the entire channel partner organization (service, parts, inside sales, outside sales, finance, purchasing and management)

Develop working relationships throughout the channel partner organization based on trust

Liaison between channel partner & Flowserve sales management to coordinate coverage, channel decisions and Flowserve strategies

Assess the opportunity and ensure that the partner is putting forth its best effort in the assigned Territory through ongoing evaluation

Develop and update annual Distribution Plan with specific strategies to meet growth goals

Identify and coordinate opportunities for projects and target accounts with appropriate functions to ensure that customers’ and Flowserve’s interests are served.

Manage the obligations of Flowserve and the partner as laid out in the Agreement

Optimize the channel and improve territory effectiveness by recommending strategies and changes and managing the partner improvement process

Inventory discussions and reviews to ensure the right product is stocked by the partner to grow market share in the Territory

Joint sales call with channel partners’ personnel

Training for channel partner and customer personnel

Assist in resolution of “ease of doing business” issues regarding warranty, credit, commission payments, bookings and other areas where there are challenges.

Provide competitive and market feedback to commercial operations, marketing and operations

Maintain FlowForce CRM for partner opportunities with direct coverage

Suggest ideas for new product development and acquisition ideas.

Act as a representative of Flowserve’s core values and Customer Focus initiative

Preferred Experience / Skills: Role Requirement:
Diploma/Degree in Chemical Process / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

2-3 years of sales and commercial experience in similar industries.

Experience with marketing and sales of centrifugal, vacuum pump and/or seal equipment is preferred.

Experience working with distribution channels is preferred.

Good interpersonal skill to build relationship with customers and internal stakeholders.

Strong sales aptitude and market acumen, result driven, clear thinker and excellent communication skill.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, changing environment.

Ability to respond to complex inquiries and business issues from customers, sales management, or channel partners.

Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
