Job Summary
The Systems Engineer – IT will be based in Chennai. This person will be one of the key member to take over the tasks and projects and to balance CDT responsibility with Primary and backup contacts. So, the person needs to be knowledged and experienced in System Administration, handling Windows OS deployment, Office365 upgrade, Windows Patch testing, managing and developing scripting for system automation and remote deployment process.
Here is a glimpse of what you will do:
Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
Acting as primary support contact for Site IT Administrators on ongoing implementations standards.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
Fully understand all client technology standards and implementations to provide support details to requesting site IT administrators and corporate or regional IT engineers.
Monitor and force the defined client hardware/software standards, following the Flex standards clients and security policy.
Help in maintaining our Client Development Team internal SharePoint sites to keep information up to date.
Help in maintaining the central asset management solution and SQL reporting services.
Work closely with the management related to projects and tasks.
Help on troubleshooting to solve problems coming from IT service desk team, following the ITIL process
Observe and apply company policies and processes. Create new and extend existing operational documentation.
Assure change control on client infrastructure and topics related to Client Development implementations and procedures.
Able to multi-task and work independently.
Propose enhancements that will improve the usability, performance and reliability of the Flex client environment.
Here is some of what you will need (required):
Hands-on experience to troubleshoot Windows 8.1/10, Office 365, and other common software (SW)
Candidate need to be having strong knowledge and understanding of Scripting languages (PowerShell, VBS, Batch)
Hands-on experience in Active directory User & Computers, Group Policy and Distributed File System (DFS).
Experience in Software patching and WSUS patch solutions.
Experience and knowledges on virtual machine deployment (HyperV and ESXi).
Familiar with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop configuration and troubleshooting.
Familiar with ITIL process, working knowledge in IT service desk team.
Drive self-improvement and upkeep with the latest technologies and corporate changes on a continuous basis.
Able to multi-task and work independently
Must have in-depth interest in learning new solutions that key benefits for systems automation
Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
Knowledge or experience in handling Server OS like RHEL or Ubuntu or IoT OS and Windows Server will be add-on to the client technology infrastructure.
Knowledge in MS-SQL, SQL reporting services.
Passionate and self-interest in learning and adopting VB .NET will be addition plus point for taking over core requirement on upcoming development projects related to windows automations.
