The Senir Engineer – QMS will be based in Chennai.

Here is a glimpse of what you will do
Fill Form I and initiate mail communication with BIS.
Get Authorization letter from VP for nominating Indian representative.
Follow with Indian Representative for getting OTP & login credentials.
Raise test request in portal – Basic Brand details and Lab selection .
Prepare two new samples in our factory with complete functionality test with the help of NPI.
Get quote from third party vendor for uploading the files and follow-up with BIS.
Get cost approval from PM and sent samples to BIS Lab.
Follow with customer for lab requirements- Brand authorization, Trademark certificate and list of suppliers .
Check the draft report and approve( Brand details, Model details) after getting conformation from Internal team.
If any requirement specified by lab for testing, we need to submit relevant document with the help of agent.
Get test reports from lab and collect all the mandatory documents from customer for submission.
Get authorization from IR for test reports issued by lab and Undertaking form.
Monitor the status of our application in Portal and store all the backup for our reference.
Work with agent for payment request.
Raise the payment for agent in our Aquire portal and follow-up till closure.
If any query raised by BIS we need to provide clarification and submit relevant document on time.
CCL Registration-All projects.
STPI Model registration.
GS1-Renewal registration(Barcode Labelling).
New standard upgradation and BIS notification.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Ability to read and understand technical procedures or BIS regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates and third party regulatory auditors.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Demonstrates functional skills.
Demonstrates detailed functional knowledge and may lead process. Has awareness of Flextronics techniques.
Typically requires basic competency related to function.
Thorough understanding of various agency requirements and sources of requirements documents.
Thorough understanding of and experience in the execution of internal and third party regulatory compliance audits.
Use of the following tools may be required: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, project management software and quality database systems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work that requires repetitive motion. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and handle small components. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
Here is some of what you will need (required)
Bachelor’s degree in any related field with minimum 3 years of experience in Quality management systems.
Work Experience in establishing Internal Quality Systems Manuals and Level 1 Procedures, Manufacturing / Service work instructions, Forms.
Must have knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and applicable regulations.
Regulatory and Quality Audits Process
Regulations and Quality Standards (ISO9001, TL9000, ISO/TS16949, AS9100, ISO13485, ESD20.20, etc.),
Internal Quality Systems Manuals and Level 1 Procedures, Manufacturing Processes, Regulatory Agencies, Project Management.

Experience in verifying the proper implementation and effectiveness of the applicable regulations, standards, policies, directives and Level 1 procedures in the organization.
Internal auditor certificate for QMS & EHS Management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TL, etc.)
Training/Knowledge on Regulations and Quality & EHS Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TL, etc.)
