Job Description
The Role –
The primary role of the Director of Revenue Operations is to develop, operationalize and optimize programs, processes, and systems to help enable Mandiant to scale its sales organization. Our team’s main objective is to make the overall sales and marketing organizations as productive as possible. As well as, eliminate barriers so the sales team can focus their time on supporting existing customers and finding/selling to new potential customers.
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of several important aspects of Sales and Marketing Operations in India. Also, they will be a key player interacting with the following organizations: Field & Inside Sales, Channel Sales, Order Management, Marketing, Legal, Finance, IT, and Deal Desk. This person requires a strong balance of people relationship, business strategy and operations.
This position reports directly to the Vice President Global Revenue Operations Strategy who is based in the United States.
Key Areas of Responsibilities –
Owns and manages multiple sub-teams with direct line responsibility. These teams have dotted line responsibility back to a specific functional lead who resides in the states. These teams include the following: Partner Program and Operations, Master Data Management and Reporting, Territory Management, Sales Tools, and Sales Operations and Support.
Provide coaching and career development path for the overall revenue operations team.
Work closely with functional leads to develop joint goals and MBOs.
Identify sales performance trends/issues at the rep & front-line manager levels through data analysis, utilizing SFDC information.
Identify areas for process and procedure improvement within the sales organization and make recommendations for enhancements
Below are some examples of work required by the broader Bangalore team;
o Maintain Salesforce dashboards and develop new ones as needed.
o Support ad-hoc report development and updates.
o Manage the Salesforce account creation process.
o Own Salesforce account clean-up and maintenance including, but not limited to, accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
o Assist with Salesforce onboarding and termination process for the Sales organization.
o Update the sales leadership matrix, territory maps and front-line manager distribution lists.
o Work with different teams within Global Revenue Operations organization to support business processes, systems, tools, and reports.
o Assist with integration data migration projects.
o Maintain sales rep account lists.
o Test report readiness during UAT for new product and program introductions.
Qualifications
15+ years’ experience in Sales Strategy, Operations, Marketing Operations, and/or Enablement
Experience understanding go-to-market details of a global sales organization
Understand overall commission structure and sales plans
Strong demonstrated expertise in providing back-end sales support at multiple levels within the organization
Must be able to manage expectations accurately and efficiently
Understanding of the sales cycle and “lead to cash” processes with respect to the systems (Eloqua/Marketo, SFDC/SFDC Communities, & ERP).
Must have proficiency in multi-pathway channel selling environments; must be familiar with how solutions are sold and fulfilled through the channel, and how distributors provide services to resellers
Must have in depth experience using Salesforce.com and implementing changes to optimize processes
Self-starter; strong drive and work ethic; willing to take leadership role in driving initiatives, working across organizations, and creative problem solving in a real-time, fast-paced sales environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Sales, or related field required
A working knowledge of security technologies and cloud environments is preferred.
Occasional travel is required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience supporting cross functional Operations teams.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred – someone with strategic consulting experience
Preferred – person who has worked for a large multi-national organization
