Full Job DescriptionJob Title – Cloud Application Operations / Senior Support Specialist
The Finastra FinCloud is supported by a global ecosystem of infrastructure providers, system integrators and solution partners delivering Finastra solutions in the Cloud intended for the highest level of security, performance and operating excellence for Cloud operations in financial services industry.
Technical Operations will be responsible for automating, organizing, monitoring, supporting and maintaining all FinCloud applications and systems provided as a service offering across FinCloud Ecosystem, esnuring that services are delivered to the highest levels of quality, performance, resilience and availability in order to support our Clients business. The team provide level 2 technical operations support to other Finastra support teams, assiting their diagnosis and resolution of issues for our Clients.
Operations:
Investigation and troubleshooting on arising technical issues and incidents;
Administrate resources and services using Multi-Cloud Platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud);
Participate on implementing new Finastra sotware as cloud solutions;
Installation, configuration and maintenance of cloud solutions and third party tools;
Configure the integration of cloud solutions with other 3rd party systems;
Development and maintenance of Cloud Application Operations scripts for operational tasks automation;
Deployment of patches and services pack for cloud solutions, in addition to supporting implementations, major upgrades, or planned releases in client environments;
Access management using Corporate tools;
Providing technical support and management, working closely with other techincal IT operational teams during Incident response and resolution;
Adhere to Finastra Cloud Services standards and processes while also ensuring assigned performance targets and service level objectives are met;
Ensure that incident resolutions and requests are delivered to SLAs;
Provide updates and recommendations to management for implementations adjusments;
Create, review, and update knowledge base articles for internal and external use with goal of spreading knowledge internally;
Monitoring Finastra Cloud Services:
Work with other Finastra Operations teams to build, maintain and improve monitoring practice across Finastra Cloud Services;
Monitor the services, collect application perfmormance monitors data and evaluate the metrics;
Act proactively based on different alerting mechanisms;
Platform and technology improvement
Drive innovation amongst the team and, including the adoption of new cloud technologies;
Operational automation adoption, identify operational tasks that can be candidates for automation;
Actively participate and provide initiatives that drive service improvement across Finastra Cloud services.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent;
5 – 10 years of hand-on work experience in public cloud infrastructure and services experience (Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud);
Previous experience with Windows and Linux operating systems;
Relevant experience in cloud solutions architecture, design and management;
Strong knowledge of IT operations from implementation phase to maturity and business-as-usual working agile and colaboratively;
Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures and solutions;
Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills;
Should have 3 – 5 years expertise in some of the following: database technologies (Oracle, SQLServer, SQL, PL/SQL); scripting languages (Perl, Python, Korn Shell, Windows batch); Middleware: Apache Tomcat; IIS Server, Java technologies, JBoss EAP;
Solid analytical and critical problem solving skills;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Customer centricity and service delivery minded;
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks with minimal direct management;
Must be available for on-call shifts rotation;
