The opportunity

• This role requires a finance professional that serves as a business partner and strategic advisor to key business leaders. The role provides critical thinking on business direction, operating performance, and financial results, in support of our Global finance leadership team, and in conjunction with Global/Area finance team members. This role will establish a trusted relationship with key stakeholders, understanding their needs and teaming with other Finance team members to bring best in class analytical support, functional expertise, and reporting solutions. Success in this role requires a mix of commercial acumen, analytical skills, an ability to build relationships, to communicate effectively and to persuade.

Your key responsibilities

• Deliver monthly performance deliverables for the respective business, adding insight, financial analysis, and commentary.
• Performing extensive financial analysis of monthly and annual results under the guidance of the Financial Leadership and other finance professionals to identify various operational / business related challenges
• Seasonal support in preparing the Budgets / Forecast reporting and Financial projections and business scenarios
• Dashboard reporting covering key KPIs on a monthly basis
• Provide oversight and guidance to the other PBFA finance team members in GDS, collaborating with the Area finance team members as well frequently to help recommend and implement ways to collaborate and expand analytics as warranted
• Be the ‘Go To’ contact for financial and operational issues while supporting the SL, SSL and Region Leaders and act as a trusted business adviser. Develop effective working relationships with the extended Finance team and leadership, becoming a key point of contact
• Analyze and present complex financial data in a way that is easily understandable. Pro-actively suggest ways to solve problems and to display presentations. Develop and support the delivery of presentations that engage audiences, responding to questions and concerns arising
• Respond to requests from Finance and SL Leadership to answer specific ad hoc financial questions and provide insightful information to advance leadership discussion and decision making. Support the design and delivery of ad hoc financial analysis. Ability to model projections, identify trends and issues that need to be analyzed and understood
• Support financial scenario modeling for leadership, providing recommended solutions/outcomes within a range of options, in support of enterprise management
• Act as counsellor and coach to other finance professionals in GDS decision support team, supporting development and demonstration of Trusted Business Advisor competencies of the team

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA or CA. ACCA (or equivalent) desirable
• Knowledge of advanced level in Excel, Hyperion SmartView, Essbase,
• Experience in SAP required
• Experience in working in a globally deployed accounting organization
• At least 9+ years of experience in finance processes and policies
• Experience in managing a similar reporting and analysis function

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Exposure to SQL, Power BI or any other visualization tools
