JOB SUMMARY:
The goal for CSI (Continuous Service Improvement) Analytics team is to solve problems and inform decision-making through innovation, collaboration, and technical expertise to help our clients and internal stakeholders realize their Analytics needs.
As the Azure DevOps Analytics Engineering Lead, you will have the following responsibility however not limited to:
Stitch data from disparate sources together to give meaningful insights & help in decision making to the end users.
Making sure that data is accessible and easy to use, so that it can be used for routine and ad-hoc analysis while also being highly scalable for future demands.
Leading delivery of enterprise projects, executive decision making, managing the stakeholders needs and ensuring our priority in delivering Exceptional Client service while at the same time supporting/coaching junior team members.
Expected to be passionate about people and technology while continuing to adopt & drive the behavior of Highest Performing Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
The Azure DevOps Analytics Engineering Lead will be responsible in developing Enterprise level production ready Analytics Solution using Azure Cloud Platform. Standard work includes the essential functions listed below but not limited to:
Analyze the business requirements by collaborating with multiple stakeholders, understanding different integration points, data flows, and business processes.
Build detailed technical solution design that leverage Azure Analytics solutions to meet the business requirements.
Present solutions to the business, project teams, and other stakeholders – with the ability to efficiently communicate in technical and non-technical language.
Analyze IT operational data (plan-build-run, resources, projects, device availability, development progress) for trends and performance indicators.
Coach and train users at all levels, on the effective usage and purpose of centrally managed reporting solution built using Azure Cloud services.
Must be a highly team-oriented individual with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
Develop solution designs using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy solutions.
Follow quality guidelines and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, regulatory requirements and review that all data security/privacy requirements are fulfilled.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned/required.
Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Requirements – Azure Development
Data integration across On-prem and cloud, and experience with Data warehousing systems within Microsoft Azure, including Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory
Extensive experience using SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, with working knowledge of SQL language
Proficiency in Databricks/Spark applications in Scala or Python
Hands-on experience in developing SSIS solutions, migrating on-prem packages to Azure Data Factory pipelines
Build CI/CD pipeline for automated deployments to different environments
Good knowledge on Azure Synapse Analytics
Extensive knowledge with data modelling
Requirements – Power BI Report Development
Visual or Advanced Development of Power BI/Power Query Data Models
Extensive experience producing and publishing Power BI data sets, reports, and dashboards, including working knowledge of DAX language
Knowledge on Power BI API integration
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Azure DevOps Analytics Engineering Lead will manage, lead and develop a team of Data Analytics Engineers and, is expected to own, coordinate and drive end to end Azure DevOps Analytics solutions for the CSI Analytics Team.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
The role will also require the periodic allocation of additional time on the job to support multiple demands and escalating issues or to accommodate teams or staff in other time zones.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
EXPERIENCE:
At least 8+ years of experience in working as an Analytics Lead with team management exposure.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Familiarity with project management with advanced knowledge in project planning, budget, estimation, managing daily tasks, risks management and mitigation.
Expert level on Implementing Agile Methodologies.
