Role Description
Responsible for creating the designs for multichannel publishing (for print and online both), such as magazines, blogs, advertisements, books and newspapers. They utilize layout software to assemble text, photographs and other content in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-read arrangement.
Key Responsibility Areas
Your day-to-day duties can vary greatly depending on the publication type. However, in general, you will be responsible for the following:
Design and layout of print materials (such as editorial page, brochures, magazines, flyers, posters, collaterals, newsletter etc).
Use of computer assisted design programmes and software that allow users to view the layout as it would appear in print or digital and balancing the publication’s elements appropriately.
Select colours, images, textures and shapes to create the layout.
Select the size and arrangement of the different elements using computer software to create electronic versions of designs.
Arranging page elements for screens and printed media.
Determining text and image size for each page.
Manipulating image aspect ratio for optimum viewing.
Modifying page graphics to work with the images and text.
Examining page proofs for final approval.
To ensure tasks are being completed on time.
Prepare final files based on supplied specifications for several types of channels.
Package and preflight files before releasing to printers or media partners.
Work closely and collaboratively with other employees, art directors and designers, as well as freelancers.
Stay up to date with new production techniques and trends through research and education.

Able to schedule and prioritize tasks, and excellent attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of page layout and excellent interpersonal skills.
Zeal to learn new softwares.
Proficiency in common designing applications (InDesignand Photoshop).
Proficiency in Mac OS and Windows.
Minimum Qualification
Diploma in multimedia, graphic designing from a reputed institute.
