We are seeking a Director – Geographic People Team to lead Expedia Group’s People Team in Gurgaon. Put your leadership skills and considerable HR experience to work by joining our growing, innovative People Team.
What you’ll do:
Lead India Country People team – direct s for the Geographic people team and broader People team leader in India
Led a team to drive organizational excellence by leading Employee Relations and Workforce issues (investigations, disputes, complaints, disciplinary issues, terminations, etc.) and coach managers on under-performance approaches.
Build a proactive culture of performance management by actively engaging with Managers and employees to continuously raise the bar on performance.
Lead site leadership teams to focus on Site Health, Culture & Vibrancy including tracking key Site Health metrics, partnering with India site business leader on key topics for India.
Lead Emergency Preparedness response for India working closely with site leads for facilities/security/IT and regional communications.
Oversee and administer proactive programs, procedures, and plans related to work practices and compliance.
Working in a multicultural and diverse environment, you will have opportunities to participate in global strategic projects and drive inclusion and diversity locally.
Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure full legal compliance with local regulations in the area of employee representation.
Partner with other HR functions (Compensation, Benefits, HR Business Partners, Talent Management) to drive company-wide programs including performance management, salary administration, change management etc.; ensure local relevance of global HR products
Who you are:
Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Human Resources or related field; or Equivalent related professional experience
We’re looking for candidates with 10 years who can thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, evolving work environment and are excited about leading this function through change.
Leading people teams in the past in India and across highly matrixed organizations.
Strong excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
Proven experience leading and coaching managers through sensitive employment matters such as grievances, disputes, under-performance, complaints, and investigations.
Must have a thorough understanding of the employment practices for India Market, and at the same time have proven experience figuring out how to navigate in unfamiliar areas, using past experience.
Experience influencing and partnering with other functions to accomplish results, even when there is no direct oversight, is necessary.
Must be comfortable with data and evolving your data and analytics capability.
Multi-national experience and working with remote teams and time zones is a plus.
