Full Job DescriptionJob Characteristics:Under general direction, has duties of instructing, directing, and checking the work of other business systems analysts. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Not only possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis, but also considers the business implications of the application technology to the current and future business environment.
Ecolab is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to lead the business analysis effort to capture, clarify, and manage business systems requirements. In this role you will work as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to identify, document, and validate requirements to provide the functionality necessary to meet business objectives and project goals.

What You Will Do:
Works with business partner/Product Managers to elicit requirements and capture business needs
Act as a liaison between business units and development teams; bridging requirements and solutions, assessing levels of customer satisfaction, and confirming expectations.
Clearly articulates and documents business requirements. Draft User Stories, maintain backlogs and product/solution roadmaps and communicates status updates to stakeholders
Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
Develop complex requirements for process or system solutions within the business domain, leveraging multiple business requirements and gathering methodologies to identify business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
Maintain expert product knowledge and use an analytical approach to identifying opportunities for enhancements and resolve product/solution support issues.
Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands
Manages ongoing relationship with business partner to drive satisfaction with various stakeholders
Coordinates project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions
Engages in user testing, pilot testing, product support and project launches
Monitors and tracks the success metrics around projects and platforms
Obtains key inputs from architecture leads and identifies solution inter-dependencies
Engages with the business and various users to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing solutions
Provide platform management and leadership for mature applications
Negotiates SOWs, manages relationships, and monitors vendor performance against SLAs
May involve managing and leading other Business Analyst. Under general direction, may have duty of instructing, directing, and checking the work of other business systems analysts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Engineering Degree (with prior software coding experience)
5 years or more of relevant professional work experience
Must have experience with Azure, MS Office suite, SQL
Experience in basic software coding and systems integration with good problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Waterfall and Scrum
PGDM/MBA (preferred not mandatory)
Scrum/SAFe/CBAP certification (preferred not mandatory)
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to understand business needs, build strategic partnerships, and document and implement software solutions
Experience in tool configuration, workflows, & user security management
Experience managing relationships with 3rd party vendors and teams.
Able to successfully manage core responsibilities independently or with limited over-sight
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain critical thinking while balancing multiple tasks
Experience working on multiple projects and meeting project objectives in a timely manner
Ability to work well within a team, focusing on building relationships with all project stakeholders.
Proven ability of learning new skills, technologies, and passionate about conveying knowledge
Independence Level/Reports to:Acts independently under general direction. Errors may cause significant disruption to operations or major costs. Instructs, directs and checks the work of other business systems analyst personnel. Normally reports to Division Controller or IS Manager or BA Leader
