JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys technology and is comfortable with dynamic environments. The System Admin will assist in day-to-day technical issues, working a variety of moderate to complex tickets, and is responsible for technical guidance, technical decision making to support organizations, and peer reviews. This person is expected to diagnose and solve problems, author procedures, diagrams, and routinely works with users, clients, and vendors.
Essential RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Provide instruction and perform complex administration of various applications, Microsoft technologies and server, storage, and backup systems.
· Comfortable working on moderately complex tickets, troubleshooting and configuration of Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft DNS and DHCP, Enterprise Patching, file and print services.
· Comfortable reviewing a wide range of tickets, i.e., server, application, network, end user.
· Ability to advise on troubleshooting recommendations around a wide range of break/fix ticket types.
· Install new and rebuild existing servers, configure hardware, peripherals, and services in accordance with standards and project requirements.
· Perform installations, integrations, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of various software technologies from multiple vendors.
· Advise and work closely with the supervisor, in addition to partnering with other business management to assure operational success of activities.
· Troubleshooting and configure moderate to complex server and applications across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS related compute.
· Authoring, interpreting, and maintaining system documentation.
· Lead and participate as technical resource supporting root cause analysis of reported issues, troubleshooting and resolution.
· Participates and supports in change management process
· Experience with monitoring systems and troubleshooting concepts.
· Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS – Knowledge &Skills:
· Managed a domain environment.
· 5 years of experience troubleshooting IT performance problems and performing application releases.
· 5 years’ experience with Operating Systems, Workstations, and Servers.
· 3 years’ Experience in Patch Management, domain management, and server application management.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Ability to author, present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences.
· Ability to evaluate technical solutions and recommend solutions.
· Experience in working in a 24×7 operations model.
· General experience with networking concepts
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills and excellent organizational skills.
· Proven ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
· Motivated and strong work ethic.
Working Conditions / Environment & Physical Demands:
· Required to work in an office environment with moderate noise and moderate temperatures.
· Incumbent may be asked to perform other duties as required.

· May require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending
· Must be able to work flexible hours, including hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary
· May be required to work off-hours, weekend & holidays as needed.
· Position may require Travel to client locations.
