The Cloud Process Engineer I will be a member of Duck Creek’s ever-growing team of professionals focused on cloud deployment of the Duck Creek solutions. In the Cloud Process Engineer I role, you will be an active participant in the development and deployment of our Business Intelligence and Reporting Strategy This role will be responsible for use and development of (both existing and new) tools and methods to perform compliance activities specific to cloud infrastructure, operating costs, and for performing analytics, metrics measurement, and reporting. This role will entail collaboration with multiple teams across the organization to define and execute compliance activities related to the operation of our cloud Infrastructure. In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to help define and create appropriate analytics reporting to support stated objectives, as well as ad hoc requests.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboration with multiple audiences to understand requirements for metrics reporting via dashboards (including Product Support, Engineering, Finance, HR, and other departments to support our Business Intelligence Strategy)
Works closely with engineers of other specialties (including Cloud Engineers, Software Engineers, DBAs, Network Administrators) to ensure that business requirements are met, using the right tools for the job
Works with SaaS Operations team and Customer Support Managers to perform analysis and ensure operational compliance
Collection and documentation of requirements related to publishing business operational metrics for various teams
Creation of Cloud-specific, as well as ad hoc reporting to provide business metrics for OnDemand management and other teams
Cost Analysis related to Cloud Infrastructure (heavily focused on Microsoft Azure)
Infrastructure costing (command an understanding of existing Cloud infrastructure footprint and go-forward strategy)
Measuring on-going run costs (utilize tools to provide detailed costs, using multiple measures for validation of costs to strategy)
Reporting on-going costs to various audiences, to validate compliance with forecast and infrastructure blueprint
Cost analysis for determining optimum cost scenarios (validation of savings during transition to newer infrastructure and/or SaaS software and tooling used in the delivery of Cloud capabilities)
Builds various reports & dashboards to monitor the status of applications and tools, and processes
Develops and maintains moderate to high complexity technical documentation and processes
Creates a conceptual design/architecture for medium scale and high complexity reporting automation processes/solutions
Excels in the ability to manage deadlines, communicate in a team, and operate independently with guidance
Expert in how to estimate, analyze, and the Software Product Development Lifecycle with Agile methodology
Debugs and resolves high complexity report bugs or issues working independently and finds the real root cause, providing a fix without collateral damage
Performs other related duties and activities as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, and/or related field,
Total Work Experience: 7+ years minimum,
Leadership Experience: 2 years minimum, 4 years preferred
Product Experience: 4 years minimum, 6 years preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
Candidate will build, execute, and maintain analysis reporting (varied metrics, content, and audiences).
Candidate will perform monthly financial reporting of costs, working with our SaaS Operations, Customer Service Managers, Finance and others.
Candidate will be responsible for understanding compliance measures, used at various levels within the organization and for different audiences.
Candidate will collect, document, build, and automate reporting capabilities – specifically utilizing Power BI for data analytics .
Candidate should be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, formulas, calculations, pivot tables, named ranges, etc.
Candidate should be highly proficient in the use of Power BI for data analytics and reporting .
Candidate should have experience with deployment methods for Power BI, data gateway options, row-level security, data query design in Power BI and use of M for query development.
Candidate should have experience with various data modeling techniques, understand relational data models, and Referential Integrity, using Microsoft SQL Server.
Candidate should have experience working with XML/XSLT document design, PowerShell, VBscript, and Javascript development.
Candidate should have experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams document management and team collaboration, including Power Automate.
Candidate should have experience with Cloud infrastructure footprints (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), preferably on the Microsoft Azure platform.
Candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform (portal, concepts, costing, deployment techniques, monitoring).
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communications.
Candidate must have experience working with Agile development teams.
Candidate should have bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science and IT, preferably Cloud deployment and Operations.
Candidate should have experience with Property & Casualty insurance software development, testing, and deployment.
Candidate must be deeply analytical, experienced with business intelligence and data visualization tools.
Candidate must be able to work with diverse teams, and collaboratively across geographic boundaries, as part of our global workforce.
Candidate must be able to work on multiple, concurrent projects, to support company tactical and strategic goals.
Candidate must be able to work independently, and demonstrate as a self-starter.

Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
