Description of the Role:
This role in Global Banking Technology is within BPSI for the position of Technology Delivery Manager. The Technology Delivery Manager’s role is to lead technical development and be the Platform Owner of BPSI. Position will be key to strategic programme – Banking platform interfaces and services, that will be a global banks servicing layer for data domain interfaces.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidate must have proven credentials of delivering in world class engineering teams. With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent discipline, he/she must have relevant experience fulfilling responsibilities of the position. Must be a confident self-starter with ability to collaborate and devise solutions. Relevant industry certifications are added plus. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks is required.
As a Technology Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will involve:
To lead and manage development of technology solutions and be the Platform Owner of the application
Consider TCO and financial impact of technology solutions, with a view to delivering value to clients
Working with the Architects & Product Owner to define how the target solution will be implemented
Working with the Project Manager, Product Owner, Architect, QA Lead and technical team leads to break the solution down into manageable work packages that can be used to drive a project plan and road map
Ensuring that Industry Best Practice is used where appropriate in Development and Design Phase
Provide support and mentoring to technical team leads, including talent and succession planning
Identifying process inefficiencies and working with Scrum teams and Project Managers on improvements
Production of Technical Design in conjunction with the Development team encompassing both functional and non-functional requirements
Provide a support feedback loop so that technical debt remediation, functional and technical improvements are identified and can be included in the product backlog
Supporting project’s being delivered on the platform for other dimensions like infrastructure, audit, L3 support
Owning delivery output quality metrics like (code quality, code review efficiency, defect prevention process)

Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle
Creative problem solver, able to build contingency plans and handle stressful situation with professionalism.
Become the Single point of contact for delivery and act as an advocate between the Service Delivery and the Customer
Deep analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations
Should have designed the software for performance, scalability and other non-functional requirements
Good understanding of software development lifecycle using Agile/Waterfall models
Good breadth of skills on open systems & technologies
Good knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure and emerging technologies
Should be able to recommend future technology capabilities and architecture design considering business objectives, technology strategy, trends and regulatory requirements
Strong hands on experience on DevOps including GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker and automation test tool like CA LISA, SoapUI
Strong hands on experience on application development including Java, JEE, Python, .NET, Business Rule Engines, BPM, Linux/Windows, Cloud, Database like Oracle/SQL Server MongoDB or Cassandra, Web Services, In Memory database & caching solutions
Preferred competencies:
Familiarity with Big Data Engineering solutions and architecture
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks
Experience with Spark, Spark Streaming similar frameworks
Vendor Management skills including SOW and similar contract negotiations
Effective communicator at C-Level by developing consistent and compelling storylines
Excellent proficiency in English is mandatory, additional languages are an asset
