Job Description:
HR Generalist – India
Job Summary:
This role will support and manage key HR Service functions in India by managing and supporting activities and programs in the following areas: staff activities, administration and support of people related policy, processes, and programs. Guidance and compliance of India and Crowe’s policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
The ability to interact effectively with all levels of professionals in the organization and provide management and support for core people related processes and critical Human Resource functions and collaborate across BUs and Operations teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of people activities, programs, and processes, including but not limited to the following:
Employee transactions / staff activity
Employee relations / Employee engagement initiatives
Management of the day-to-day employee situations, in partnership with BU People Operations and firmwide Human Resources, including terminations, performance improvement plans, flexible work arrangements, leaves of absence, attendance and time off tracking, various employee requests and employment verification requests, etc.
Support the execution of people processes including career management, promotion, and merit and bonus process
Support the execution of compensation and benefits administration
Generate, review, and analyze various reports and provide regular people operations updates on staff activity statistics and people relations matters and processes to the Human Resources Leader
Compliance and Policy Management
Assist with onboarding, induction for the new hires in India
Conduct exit interviews and identify trends and bring forward for discussion and potential actions
Provide regular people operations updates on staff activity statistics and people relations matters and processes to the Human Resources Leader
Manage or perform other tasks and special projects as required by the Human Resources Leader
Qualifications:
Bachelors/Undergraduate in Human Resources Management
7-10 years of related job experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 2 years in a management position
Strong knowledge of India employment law and employment relations matters and at least 3 years of experience in this area.
Ability to communicate fluently in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional and outgoing interpersonal skills
Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to appropriately manage confidential and sensitive matters/information
Ability to work both independently and, as an effective team member
Strong analytical skills, judgment, and ability to think logically
Ability to manipulate and analyze data
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; manage multiple and competing priorities, and complete multiple tasks/projects and producing desired results in the most efficient and effective manner possible
Ability to build and develop relationships at the executive level
Flexible, agile, and ability to manage within ambiguity as necessary
Ability to think broadly and develop organizational awareness quickly
Ability to travel up to 10% annually to attend various firm / business unit / training meetings
Additional Skills Desired:
Active GPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification
Human Resources experience in Professional Services and/or Public Accounting
