Hosting Services provides global infrastructure hosting and application services, spanning product management, engineering and L2 support. Infrastructure hosting covers capabilities such as Compute and Storage; application services include Database and Web Services. With over 1,500 staff globally across our core office locations (both BC and BDC), HDCS is dedicated to providing a premium service to its customers across IT within Credit Suisse.

Hosting Services is driving the largest internal IT project with Project Cloud-Serve where it is delivering a step change in customer experience for firm wide compute, storage and connectivity services; enabling greater flexibility, agility and scalability through adopting a hybrid cloud strategy to replace existing/legacy infrastructure, enabling Infrastructure Rationalization and helping prepare Credit Suisse for the digital bank transformation

As the Cloud Operations Team member you will be working with the regional and distributed team which is deploying and supporting the latest infrastructure technology within the Bank. The APAC team consists of Operations Engineers in Singapore and Pune. There is a similar setup in AM, EMEA and CH and global harmonization and operations is essential to the success of this environment. Teams are composed of senior SME’s across Compute, Storage and Networking and this will be an opportunity for someone to come in and learn Cloud technologies, implement and drive adoption of automation tools and framework within CS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Cloud Infrastructure Engineers, Project Managers and Customers, understand requirements WRT Security, Scalability, Availability and Performance.
• Ensure security of the production infrastructure systems and tools.
• Participate in FTSS (Follow the Sun support) and weekend on-call for Cloud Infrastructure.
• Automate, Implement, administer and maintain our Cloud Infrastructure including provisioning, backups/restores, upgrades and monitoring.
• Adhering to planned dates to meet project targets.

• Demonstrated experience in configuring, trouble-shooting and supporting Private Cloud Infrastructure based on VMware Stack (vRA, vRO, vRLI, vROPS, vSphere, VCF etc)
• Experience working with geographically diverse teams and locations including US EMEA and remote employees.
• Experience in writing scripts and building automated frameworks (using scripting language like Powershell/Python and open source tools).
• Proficient in networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, NTP DNS etc
• Knowledge of Storage solutions like SAN and vSAN.
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills and decision-making attitude
• Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility and team-player attitude as well as the willingness to take initiative and responsibility
• Results-oriented, dedicated who can work on own initiative whilst also delivering on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards.

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of DevOps technologies, cloud-based provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting. (preferably VMware, Jenkins, SNOW, Git, Grafana, Splunk, Influx, Terraform)
• Exposure to work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Team City
• Agile/DevOps models understanding
