Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
Work with the Data Management team to collect requirements of applications to be developed.
Use the requirements to design databases, user interfaces and logic. (where applicable)
Advise Data Management leadership on the best technologies and methodology to meet the end goal.
Evaluate existing tools to find improvements and fix issues.
Develop clean and efficient C# desktop applications.
Develop responsive and fluid web applications using common models, frameworks, and languages.
Write automated unit tests.
Document developed tools and update with any new releases.
Provide training to internal staff on developed tools.
Keep up to date with the latest technologies.
Additional Responsibilities/Details:
Required Skills
Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries, perform common database administration tasks and utilise the database as a back end datastore.
Must be proficient in the following languages and technologies:
.NET
C#, ASP.Net, MVC
SQL Server 2016
JavaScript, jQuery, bootstrap
Experience with version control software. (ideally GitHub)
Understanding of the SOLID principles and design patterns and when to use them.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise / re-prioritise work.
Desirable Skills
Any relevant Certifications. (specifically Microsoft)
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Software Engineering or similar technical field.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
4 years.
