Exciting opportunity to join an innovative trading team in one of Australia’s largest financial services. This role will expose you to the fast paced trading environments, and will provide an excellent career path for an IT graduate with financial services.
Your Responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to make their mark in a high performing team. The workload will be tailored to the graduate’s experience level, and is likely to include:
Design, development and testing of Java components.
Performing peer code review and writing documentation of the system changes
Assisting with release management and developing scripts using unix scripting.
Follow agile practices and help the team in managing all aspects of new software development and enhancements into existing systems
Assisting the test team in functional testing of new releases
Deployment of front end and back end trading platform components (Ion)
Build out of test automation frameworks
Requirements :
Information Technology background, preferably within financial markets.
Strong Java Development experience (3+ years)
Computer Science degree is essential
Strong communication skills
Some knowledge of Agile processes
Financial Market knowledge is a plus.

Trading platform and/or low latency experience

Front end experience using any modern JavaScript framework
