Job Role and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should be performing the transactional accounting and should be able to manage complete Accounts Payable (AP) Record and Report (R2R) and Payroll processing for Japan entity in particular besides other functions of other entities in the APJ Region.
Timely and Accurate accounting and payment of Vendor invoices, Employee expense reimbursements.
Preparing Journals entries Workings for Prepaid Expenses, Depreciation, Deferred Rent, etc. including maintenance of recurring journal entries and monthly allocations
Account reconciliation and analysis: Prepaid Expenses, Deposits, Accrued Expenses, Inter-company balances, Fixed Assets & Depreciation.
Processing Tax payments within due dates
Review of monthly Income Statements, Balance Sheets and ensure all the entries are booked according the guidelines and Policies of the Company
Monitoring month close progress as per close calendar and communicating timely with Manager on any delays
Prepare monthly reconciliation statement for all Balance Sheet accounts and upload the recon to the Recon Tool on monthly basis with all supporting/evidences.
Prepare monthly/quarterly balance sheet accounts flux analysis
Working closely with other teams in resolving issues/open items in reconciliations
Working Knowledge on indirect taxation such as GST/TDS/PF/PT
Assist with process implementations, preparation, and adherence to key control activities.
Handling and help completing audits for Japan and other regional entities
Support statutory audits at regional level by preparing requested schedules and reconciliations
Working knowledge on payroll processing for entities in the Region
Special projects as and when required
Job Requirements:
Commerce Graduate with 15+ years of experience or Inter CA with 12+ years of experience having worked in Indian Subsidiaries of various American Multinationals
Hands on previous experience in NetSuite, FloQast, Concur, etc.
Strong Core Accounting knowledge. Sound in accounting principles and fundamentals.
Result oriented: Candidate must have a keen focus for task execution.
Quick learner: Ability to pick-up on key concepts quickly
Effective Stakeholder in Management both internal and external levels
Be a strong team-player.
Ability to guide, mentor and coach team members while on the job.
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Thorough knowledge in IGAAP
US GAAP knowledge would be an added advantage
