Responsibilities:
Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals as well as conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
Impact the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, participate in budget management, and handling day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards negotiating with external parties when necessary
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Experience as Applications Development Manager
Experience as senior level in an Applications Development role
Stakeholder and people management experience
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proven project management skills
Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred

As a part of core banking platform modernization, Treasury and Trade Solution (TTS) group is looking for a Scrum Master – Virtual Accounts(Core Accounts)to lead the current/next generation Virtual Account platform globally. This is a key role to focus on delivery of the platform and how the existing/new Virtual Accounts platform will interact with product processors, data platforms, microservice layer, messaging systems etc to support the capabilities. The successful candidate is expected to have an experience to handle large scale complex programs cutting across cross-functional teams and modern engineering skills(a plus). He/she should be able to demonstrate the application of these skills while solving complex program delivery problems within banking, financial services context. The successful candidate will work closely with different Product, Operations & Technology teams like Solution Architects, Individual PMs, Partners – Payments, Liquidity and Operations users to identify the Virtual Accounts capabilities required to support the different lines of business. This role will also interface with broader teams and ensure adoption of standards and best practices in the implementation and program delivery.
Role Description:
This role is for Core Accounts Technology Scrum Master/ Project Manager.
People manager for development and delivery team.
Coordinating Flexcube development with Vendor teams.
Interacting with Flexcube Business Analysts, Partner systems and Flexibus to finalize solution.
Participate in architecture and design of development
Work with onsite development partners to ensure design and coding best practices.
Work closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules.
Proactively notify Release Train Engineer/Program Manager of risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns.
Compliance with Citi’s System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements.
Oversee development scope, budgets, time line documents, metrics as per project quality standards
Monitor, update and communicate project timelines and milestones; obtain senior management feedback; understand potential speed bumps and client’s true concerns/needs.
Understanding technology industry trends, how they impact our future solutions and provide strategic direction for the development community.
Serve as a SPOC on assigned Projects for stakeholders in business, operations and technology divisions
Build and sustain strong relationships with the senior business leaders associated with the platform.
Handle multiple projects/deliveries simultaneously
Detail Role Specifications & Requirements
Qualifications:
BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
15+ years of experience in IT of which 8-10 years’ experience in Core banking projects
Certification in PMP/Prince 2/ITIL desirable/Agile Methodology
Strong experience in leading/managing Financial technology projects preferred.
Understanding of core banking concepts and General ledger operations(Preferred)
Database design and development methodologies on Cloud based architecture desired
Technical / Functional Proficiency:
Experience of at least 1 lifecycle implementation of Corebanking platforms covering requirements gathering, UAT and implementation support
Experience in managing medium size teams working in Corebanking delivery
Experience in Oracle database, pl sql, unix/linux platforms
Knowledge of Microsoft projects and other PM tools as per industry standards
Working knowhow of cloud/container(AWS/ECS) architecture
In Depth understanding of databases and strong SQL querying abilities.
Must have sound operating know how of Oracle.
Strong UNIX and Shell Scripting experience.
Experience with SAFe Agile methodology
Experience with Test automation
Experience in CI/CD tooling
Must be able to interpret roadmap for software solutions involving major architecture changes.
Uses structured project delivery techniques using tools JIRA/MS Project Plan/SharePoint.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
