C12 Job Description: Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Citi is seeking AVP – Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer / Lead for a hands on role. A potential candidate will need to understand the big picture when it comes to Citi data solution and understand how all components fit together and impact one another. The lead will work with senior development managers, PMO, BA’s and Production Services to ensure smooth on-time delivery and serve as escalation for support teams responsible for live services.

The lead will build and manage a team of senior and junior level developers located in Noida & Pune, India. Lead will be overseeing their deliverables, provide architectural guidance, enforce best Citi practices, conduct code reviews, build support processes, and serve as escalation point during production outages. The lead will be responsible for product design and delivery as well as unit testing, integration testing and regression testing activity and ensuring the software produced by the team does not negatively impact overall Citi stability.

Required skills:
Having 8-11 Years of IT experience as an ORACLE PL/SQL Developer, involved in Requirement Gathering, analysis, Design, Development, Unit Testing , Production Deployment and Support.

Use different strategies of database development to meet the client functional requirement.

Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming, developing complex code units.

Solid Experience of creating PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views and Exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking and migrating complex data sets in Oracle.

Experience in data migration/conversation using SQL*Loader.

Experience in Data migration using import and export.

Expertise in creating the indexes on tables and partitioning the table for SQL tuning purpose.

Expertise in writing procedures, functions, views, materialized views as required.

Responsible for performance tuning activities in the project.

Having good experience on Client Interaction and Presentation Skills.

Proficiency with Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS.

Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala.

Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting.

Responsibilities:
Understanding and Collecting requirements from Business user side or Business Analyst and try to convert that requirement to SQL queries or PL SQL.

Convert the Business need in to Technical complex queries.

Ability to write complex sql queries for reporting purpose.

Customizing the application using PL SQL techniques.

Support the users of application with using multiple SQL and PL SQL techniques.

Can assist in developing and implementing new technologies.

Support all day to day activities related to database like data consolidation,data migration scripting.

Creating complex views,materialized views on multiple table as per customer requirement.

Used PL/SQL Tables, Cursors to process huge volumes of data and used bulk collect for mass update as performance improvement process.

Migrated data from flat files to tables using sql*loader.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred
