Your Role
As a key member of the India TA team, you will be responsible for driving Ciena’s end to end recruitment across multiple functions across India. The role will attract and engage the best talent in the market, ensuring Ciena maintains its market leadership and momentum.
Your Responsibilities
Manage, prioritize and close all open job positions
Build and maintain productive relationships with business leaders, hiring managers and HR Business Partners.
Own the candidate experience at all stages of the recruitment process
Create and implement recruiting strategies to provide a qualified and diverse candidate pool.
Have an ability to prioritize time, demonstrate pushback and a sense of urgency, and understand the value of providing outstanding customer service.
Understand how to recruit passive candidates and possess the skills to profile people and assess candidates for cultural fit
Evaluate skill level, conduct efficient and professional interview process, and drive offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendations and negotiations, and closing of candidates
Be part of the wider global TA team responsible for continuing to build a strong employer brand, integrating all our social media strategies
Manage and liaise with external recruitment agencies
General recruitment administration e.g. booking interviews/rooms, maintaining ATS system.
Producing management information/reporting key recruitment statistics.
Continuously look at new and innovative ways to improve the recruitment processes to meet growing business demands.
Attend Networking / Career events and represent Ciena as a Talent Brand Ambassador.
Self- sufficient and able to work remotely as part of a globally dispersed Talent Acquisition team
Be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated track record of success in either agency or in-house recruiting environment; in end to end recruitment role
Strong Technology recruitment background and a passion for talent acquisition.
Proven success in using direct sourcing methods to minimise agency usage
Experience using Social media tools in a Recruitment context – e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and able to juggle multiple demands.
Ability to act with integrity and enthusiasm, with the ability to challenge and advise senior management when necessary.
Highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively.
Self-Starter, ability to solve problems and think creatively.
Experience of working with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Strong team player and collaborative approach – happy to ‘get stuck in’ as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong experience of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent time and project management skills, with strong attention to detail.
