The Operation Executive in stevedooring is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and managing the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo from ships at a port or terminal. They are accountable for overseeing the entire stevedoring operation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing the workflow to meet performance and productivity goals.
Experience – 2 to 3 years
Key Responsibilities:
Cargo Management:Supervise the loading and unloading of cargo from vessels, ensuring proper handling and stowage.
Verify the type, quantity, and condition of cargo to prevent damage or loss.
Safety Compliance:Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for stevedoring staff.
Operational Efficiency:Plan and organize stevedoring operations to maximize productivity and minimize turnaround time.
Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo flow.
Equipment Management:Oversee the maintenance and operation of loading/unloading equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, and conveyors.
Ensure equipment is in good working condition and facilitate repairs when necessary.
Documentation:Maintain accurate records of cargo movements, including manifests, bills of lading, and shipping documents.

Cost Control:Monitor and manage the budget for stevedoring operations, optimizing expenses while maintaining high service quality.
