Job Description: Learning & Development Business Partner
About the role:
We are looking for someone passionate about leading our employee development initiatives through learning program management, cutting edge L&D technology deployments and employee educational programs. The L&D BP will carry out a wide range of duties to boost the organization’s learning and performance metrices. This is a high visibility role that involves stakeholder management.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Envisage learning programs for various Chegg verticals based on thorough needs analysis
Own and manage end to end learning interventions, reports, data analysis and presentations
Provide support for L&D communication and ongoing consultation with stakeholders
Design and develop content, communication and flagship training programs and learning initiatives
Consult with department heads and manage overall people development agenda
Research and create innovative ways to campaign learning programs to increase penetration
Design L&D program comms and creatives and come-up with the perfect campaign to launch them
Manage end to end logistics for all programs whether online, instructor led, or webinars
Maintain reporting of training metrics and dashboards on a regular basis
Partner with internal SMEs and department stakeholders to address training needs of the organization
Manage and maintain Workday learning management system
Build e-learning courses using authoring tools and regularly update the existing e-learning content
A technology savvy professional and a quick learner who doesn’t shy away from hard-core technical subject areas and can design learning programs on such subjects.
Facilitate training and onboarding programs
Conduct 1 to 1 interviews, take reviews and feedback
Maintains reports and training data
Works on Chegg’s intranet platform and maintains the L&D page
Liaise between vendor partner and company stakeholders and maintain cordial work-relationship
Ensure on-time updates to training attendance, feedback, and trackers on the internal LMS
Evaluate and make recommendations on training materials and methods
Ensure staff attend internal and external learning events to meet legal requirements and wider L&D strategy
Support the L&D team in achieving their development goals
Manage the learning and development calendar
Create and circulate communication plans
Provide administrative support to staff and managers in the planning and delivery of L&D events and strategy
Provide administrative support to the wider HR team where required
Must-Have Skills:
8-10 years of Instructional design experience and/or certification
Knowledge of Authoring tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia etc…
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work in a team
Ability to build, organize and present plans and strategies to the CXO and Stakeholder group.
Problem-solving skills
Experience working closely with HR, Admin and IT support groups
Discretion, with an understanding of the need for confidentiality always!
General understanding of HR / L&D activities
Good command over office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
The ability to work accurately, and with attention to detail
High level of integrity and ethics
Ability to recognize and accept mistakes and strive towards continuous improvement
Experience in working with training vendors and learning partners
Resourceful and a zeal for research on L&D related subjects
A fundamental understanding of the company brand, data protection and copyright laws.
Good to have skills:
Creative design skills
Creative writing skills
Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or any other designing experience
Educational Requirements:
Masters or a higher degree of qualification.
