Full Job DescriptionCerner is elated to hire an Scrum Master I. As a Scrum Master I, you will organize and lead a cross-functional scrum team through the Product Development Process from initiation to release. In this role you will, plan and lead the scrum team through agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprints and demos. Your responsibilities also include, acting as a liaison and primary point of contact between the scrum team(s) and product management, product development and other stakeholder teams. As a Scrum Master I, you will manage progress of the sprint, identify and escalate distractions and barriers that impede or slow scrum team progress. You will also, facilitate collaborative cooperation and consensus within the scrum team and across other stakeholders through coordination and effective communication. As a Scrum Master I, you will monitor key metrics, such as quality and speed compared to scope, goals and objectives, and provide regular updates to the scrum team and key stakeholders. Additionally, you will model agile methodologies, tools and best practices that support the Product Development Process and also, identify process improvement opportunities at a team or department level.

Qualifications
Basic Qualification:
At least 5 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
At least 1 year of Project/program management work experience
At least 4 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems
Preferred Qualification:
At least 2 years experience working in projects that are diligently applying Agile/Scrum practices as a Scrum Master, Jira tool (JQL), Technology awareness – Java
Scrum Master / SAFe certifications
