Cerner is elated to hire for the role of Manager Accounting. As a manager, accounting you will lead month-, quarter- and year-end close processes, providing overall process leadership, communication and reporting across the team and department. You will
review and analyze financial transactions and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls and other legal, regulatory and/or company policies and procedures as applicable. You will also collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement internal accounting processes and controls meet new accounting standards, identify and recommend process improvements or system enhancements and assess audit risksÂ. You will provide technical guidance and consultation on various accounting activities such as account reconciliation, revenue recognition, new accounting standards and other unique or complex transactions . Apart from this you will also support internal and external audits, including oversight of deliverables and facilitating audit interactions that successfully demonstrate audit objectives. You will also lead, direct and review the team work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and department. You will establish and communicate team goals that support and advance team and department objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress. You will also understand and explain policies, practices and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team. You will identify, propose and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department-level. You will also deliver consistent and timely training, guidance, and feedback to encourage and promote associate success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities. You will provide primary input and recommendations on staffing and performance decisions for direct reports along with Identifying process improvement & automation opportunities, collaborate with Systems team and execute the same.

Qualifications
Basic Qualification:-
Total combined higher education and related work experience.
Preferred Qualification:-
Strong knowledge in accounting.
Willingness to work in 2pm-11pm shift.
People management experience
