Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for facility performance levels to corporate targets for inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-delivery results. Leads facility efforts to develop and implement the Plan for Every Part, Pull material Replenishment and improved throughput efficiency.
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for performing work to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets focused on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-delivery results.
The incumbent coordinates and manages a performance portfolio for multiple, cross functional work teams deploying the Supply Chain Planning Process, which develops the Plan for Every Part and Pull Replenishment methods for a facility.
Incumbent is required to work and communicate effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams in order to apply the supply chain planning process and lead team efforts to develop lean material flow plans for a facility, which may include implementing changes to factory floor layout and material presentation at the point of use.
Incumbent is required to take a division-wide view of supply chain planning processes and tools, as well as thorough knowledge of pull material strategies and their application, in order to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams across functions and divisions.
Incumbent leads team efforts to gather and analyze data on facility demand and demand variability for each part required for production based on daily demand buckets for 120 work days.
The incumbent supports division efforts to implement pull material replenishment where appropriate by leading pull deployment teams. This work requires knowledge of complex lean concepts and tools. The incumbent must be able to lead work teams consisting of members from multiple functions, driving collaboration and communication across facility divisions, including site Global Purchasing, IT Support personnel, factory floor personnel, Global Transportation, Logistics and Operations.
This role may work collaboratively with external and internal suppliers, Supply Chain Performance Engineers, and Operations.
This position supports facility efforts and leads teams to ensure NPI and Engineering / Change Control process conformance. This role requires cross-functional work team leadership skills and communication.
This position leads cross-functional teams to achieve MQ or other similar facility certifications. Works with diverse, multi-functional work teams to drive improvements required to meet certification requirements.
This position leads cross-functional teams to identify and resolve supply chain constraints, which requires leading teams to deploy solutions using root cause corrective action.
Travel Required (up to 25% working time)
POSITION IMPACTS: Incumbent is responsible to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets, including improvements in Order-to-Delivery time, inventory levels / turns, MQ Certification requirements and supply chain assessments for a facility.
