The Cargo Carrier Dispatcher II will coordinate barge freight movement along the inland waterways to meet customer needs and contract obligations within the productivity goals. In this role, you will collaborate with dispatchers, sales department, barge superintendent and claims manager to maximize the utilization of equipment. You will proactively identify customer and cost cutting solutions and gather and analyze industry data to identify trends. Key Accountabilities
Provide support and input to ensure appropriate accomplishment of sales distribution plan.
Coordinate budgets and maintain safety, security and inventory control programs.
Maintain distribution center facilities and equipment, proposing improvements to optimize distribution.
Ensure appropriate transport schedules, methods and routes, analyze and project transportation costs.
Evaluate, select and build effective relationships with external transport providers and acquired manage fleet vehicles.
Other duties as assigned
Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum one year of directly related work experience
Other minimum qualifications may apply Preferred Qualifications
Graduate or Postgraduate/ Diploma in Supply chain with 7 years of experience in Plant Logistics and warehouse Management
Good exposure in leading the team
Good exposure in Finished Goods Management.
